Job Purpose:
The
job holder will be acting as an advisor/expert for tax & government
relations and the main focal point for operations and functions in the
countries under scope. He/She will be primarily responsible for the accurate and
timely preparation and filing of tax returns. In addition
to monitoring current and impending changes to the tax regulations,
developing tax strategies and policies that help the business
maintain compliance with local tax laws and regulations, perform
estimations, analysis, planning, and research and oversee audits. In addition
to managing the various operational licenses/permits for the business ensuring their validity and timely renewal.
Job
Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
The Below responsibilities will cover Egypt
- Ensure compliance with the
tax laws.
- Will be the main liaison
point with the tax advisor.
- Will be responsible for the
preparation and successful completion of tax audits.
- Will be required to manage
the timely filing of all taxes (Income Tax, withholding tax , VAT
- Social Security –Salary tax - Stamp duty -
entertainment tax and any other taxes
- Will be required to ensure
the tax reconciliations for the returns submitted
- Will ensure that accounting
records, trial balance are matching with the government statutory records.
- Will be responsible for Tax
audit readiness by ensuring all supporting documents and all tax filings
for the previous years are kept and maintained as per the statutory period
limitation and are readily available in the event of a tax audit
- Will ensure a reporting
dashboard is provided on a monthly basis to the HQ tax team showing the
tax compliance status and will escalate non-compliant matters.
- Will maintain an issues-log
file tracking all current issues and prior resolved issues which will
serve as a reference for future compliance.
- Review and file the Egypt
local file to comply with the transfer pricing documentation of BEPS(Base
Erosion and Profit Shifting) .
- Update all relevant parties
about new tax laws developments and provide support to all tax queries
raised by them.
- Identify tax problems or
process deficiencies and propose solutions.
- Manage company legal
documents and contracts.
- Manage company operation
licenses and provide all documents needed to issue/renew company licenses
- Report directly to Director
of Financial Control dotted to the county Finance Controller

Personal
Characteristics and Required Background:
·
The ideal candidate is a team player, works closely with finance
shared service and operation teams to ensure compliance with tax laws and
regulations
·
Extensive knowledge in all types of taxes (corporate income tax,
vat, withholding….)
·
Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
·
7+ years of experience in tax and accounting.
·
Excellent written and oral communication skills (Both Arabic and
English).
·
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
